Andrea rezendes
Speech-Language Pathologist
I completed a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Linguistics in 2017 at McGill University, followed by a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2019. It was through deepening my knowledge in linguistics and volunteering with a speech-language pathologist that I discovered my passion for this profession, which combines language sciences, helping relationships, and creativity.

Since 2021, I have been working independently in private practice, with a child-centered approach rooted in close collaboration with families, childcare settings, and schools. In response to growing needs and to help reduce wait times, I made the decision to build a team of speech-language pathologists who share my values. Together, we are committed to offering warm, personalized, and evidence-based care.
Creative, attentive, and dedicated, I strive to create a trusting environment where every child can progress at their own pace, while having fun.

I am a fully bilingual speech-language pathologist (French and English) and provide services tailored to preschool and school-aged children, as well as adolescents. I work with children who have developmental language disorder (DLD), articulation or phonological disorders, dyslexia, dysgraphia, stuttering, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or intellectual disability. I also have experience in assessing and supporting children with complex communication needs using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

A little about me: I’m also the mom of two energetic young boys, which has given me a different perspective on child development!

Amélia Gaul
Speech-Language Pathologist
It was during my undergraduate studies in psychology that I discovered a true curiosity for the field of speech-language pathology. A course on language development in children sparked my interest in language and its complexity. My experience as a camp counselor for a child with autism further strengthened my desire to help and support children and their families. Speech-language pathology brings together many of my interests and qualities: helping relationships, clinical reasoning, creativity, versatility—and of course, the joy of play!

During my master’s degree in speech-language pathology, I had the opportunity to train in a variety of settings: in a CLSC working with young children, in a hospital, in a school environment, and finally in a rehabilitation center. These experiences allowed me to work with a diverse range of clients.
In addition, as part of my master’s program, I conducted a research project titled “Technological Tools to Support Struggling Readers,” which deepened my knowledge of written language and fostered my intellectual curiosity.

I then worked as a speech-language pathologist in a rehabilitation center with preschool and early school-aged children (ages 4 to 8). This experience helped me develop my skills in working with children with developmental language disorder (DLD) and/or speech sound disorders (SSD).

I specialize in working with preschool and school-aged children who present with language difficulties, oral and/or written language disorders, as well as speech sound disorders (SSD).

I look forward to working with you!

Hafsa Bouâbid
Speech-Language Pathologist
My name is Hafsa, and I am a recently graduated speech-language pathologist with a professional master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Montreal. I also completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology as well as a certificate in early childhood and family studies—two programs that have long nurtured my interest in the global development of the child.

Before my master’s, I had the opportunity to work as a language stimulation technician, an experience that confirmed my passion for the preschool population. It is a clientele I particularly love working with: I love playing, laughing, exploring, and building connections with toddlers! I have always enjoyed talking (a lot!), moving, and engaging with energy and curiosity… Speech-language pathology is both a heartfelt and thoughtful choice for me.

During my training, I had the chance to complete several diverse internships, working with toddlers, school-aged children, adolescents, and adults, notably in school and hospital settings. These experiences allowed me to develop a kind, playful, and individualized approach tailored to each child and their unique situation.

I am also trilingual (French, English, Arabic), which enables me to adapt my interventions to children from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds—an aspect of the work that I hold especially close to my heart.
