Andrea Rezendes

I graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Linguistics (2017) and a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology (2019). I discovered my passion for this profession by combining linguistics with helping others.
Since 2021, I have been working in private practice, focused on children and collaborating closely with families, schools, and daycare centers. To better meet the growing needs, I built a team of speech-language pathologists who share my values, providing warm, personalized, and evidence-based care.
Bilingual in French and English, I work with children and adolescents with a variety of language, communication, and learning challenges, including developmental language disorder (DLD), articulation disorders, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities, AAC/augmentative communication, atypical swallowing, and more.
Fun fact: I’m a mom of two energetic young boys and an animal lover!

It was during my Bachelor’s in Psychology that I discovered my interest in speech-language pathology, through a course on child language development and my experience at a summer camp with a child with autism. Speech-language pathology brings together my passions and strengths: helping others, clinical reasoning, creativity, versatility, and the joy of play.
During my Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, I gained experience in various settings: community health centers, hospitals, schools, and rehabilitation centers, and I participated in a research project on technological tools to support struggling readers.
I then worked in a rehabilitation center with children aged 4 to 8, developing my skills with children presenting developmental language disorder (DLD) or speech sound disorders (SSD).
Today, I specialize in working with preschool and school-aged children with oral or written language difficulties, as well as speech sound disorders (in French).
Hafsa Bouâbid

My name is Hafsa, and I am a speech-language pathologist, graduated with a professional Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from the Université de Montréal. I also hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a certificate in Early Childhood, which fueled my interest in children’s overall development.
Before my Master’s, I worked as a language stimulation assistant, an experience that confirmed my passion for working with preschoolers. I love playing, laughing, exploring, and building connections with young children!
During my placements, I worked with children, adolescents, and adults in schools and hospitals, developing a kind, playful, and individualized approach. Trilingual in French, English, and Arabic, I can adapt my interventions to children from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Vanessa Catavolo

Since my studies in Nursing at the Université de Montréal, I have been passionate about professions that combine science and helping others. This passion led me to pursue a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Ottawa.
During my training, I worked in a variety of settings—hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, and private practice—supporting a diverse clientele, from preschool children to adults, including children with developmental language disorder (DLD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or complex communication needs (AAC).
Bilingual in French and English, I provide personalized and playful services to children and their families, aiming to make each intervention both enjoyable and effective.
Amanda Forgione

I have always been driven by a desire to help others and build meaningful relationships. Speech-language pathology quickly became the ideal choice, offering a meaningful way to support individuals and their families.
During my Master’s, I gained experience in a variety of settings with a diverse clientele, including adults in hospitals as well as toddlers, children, and adolescents in schools and private clinics. These experiences allowed me to develop a broad set of skills to work with people of all ages.
I primarily work with children presenting speech sound disorders and oral and/or written language disorders. I provide services in both English and French.
I am committed to creating a supportive and caring environment where we can work together to achieve your goals.
Laurence Carbonneau

I hold a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from the Université de Montréal and initially worked for several years as a respiratory therapist before transitioning to speech-language pathology. This experience gave me a strong understanding of the medical field, particularly the respiratory system, which is especially valuable in my work with orofacial-myofunctional disorders (OMD) and their links to breathing, swallowing, and conditions like sleep apnea.
My career has allowed me to work in a variety of settings with clients of all ages. Curious and dedicated, I continually pursue professional development to provide accurate, up-to-date, and tailored interventions.
With humor and compassion, I strive to offer care where every individual feels supported and understood.
Lex & Lingo
Assistants / Mascottes
Four-legged members of our team, our two guinea pigs play a valuable role in certain interventions. Calm, gentle, and much loved by the children, they help create a reassuring and motivating environment. Their presence supports engagement, communication, emotional regulation, and the enjoyment of therapy activities, always respecting the animals’ well-being and clinical goals.
Lex (beige and white) is the calmer of the two guinea pigs. Gentle and relaxed, he loves snacks and quiet moments, making him an excellent companion for promoting calmness.
Lingo (black, white, and beige) is our little bundle of energy! More expressive, he isn’t shy about making his presence known—especially at mealtime! His lively and playful temperament brings dynamism and often sparks spontaneous communication moments.
